Planting Design Workshop for housing estates

📍Living Space, 2pm Saturday 30th May

If you live locally, come along for a free walking tour and hands-on workshop to explore effective planting techniques for tenants and residents associations to green communal spaces of your housing estates. It will be hosted at Living Space, 1 Coral Street, from 2-5pm on Saturday 30th May. Registration required by email here. 

People’s Emergency Briefing - local screening

📍BFI Southbank, 4pm Thursday 4th June

We are hosting a local community screening with the British Film Institute of the People’s Emergency Briefing – an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence on climate science, food security, health, economics, national security and nature.

Sustains Us Garden Party

📍Emma Cons Garden, Thursday 18th June

Save the date! South Bank and Waterloo Sustains Us are opening the Reimagining Emma Cons Garden Series of summer events. Join us on Clean Air Day as we host a garden party to celebrate our local green spaces and sustainable travel. More details to come.

Inside the Infinite Shed: Heat Pumps Explained

Ever wondered how a heat pump actually works? Curious about switching out your boiler but not sure where to start? As part of London Climate Action Week, join London South Bank University and South Bank & Waterloo Sustains Us for an open invitation to explore LSBU’s innovative “Infinite Shed” and see heat pump technology in action.

Climate x Culture x Councils: Shaping Heat Resilience

📍 BFI Southbank, 9.30am Friday 26th June

As part of London Climate Action Week, join us alongside the BFI, London Councils, and Shade the UK for a half-day workshop designed for local council authorities and cultural venues. We will be exploring how policy makers and cultural venues in our communities can work together to respond to climate change and increasingly hot summers.
