Sustains Us Residents Group – Join us for 2026!

News   |   Mar 2026

Last Spring we launched the Sustains Us Residents Group – a collective of South Bank and Waterloo residents coming together to help shape a fairer and greener neighbourhood. Run by SoWN, the local neighbourhood forum, the group builds on previous work of the SoWN Environment Group to continue supporting local action on issues that matter to residents, like waste, air quality, greening and sustainable transport.

Our first project was the Wonderful Waterloo and South Bank Fun Day in September last year. It was a real celebration of local action with over 250 people coming along. The day was filled with energy and connection showcasing all the work underway for a more sustainable and inclusive neighbourhood. We had creative workshops and hands-on activities, stalls, live music and performances for all ages.

What’s next?

Building off last year we’re excited to be getting the Sustains Us Residents Group back up and running again for 2026. From residents’ events to influencing local project design - we’d love for you to help us shape this year’s activities as we work together towards a fairer, greener future.
