Garden Museum – transforming underused land into thriving green spaces
The Garden Museum’s Lambeth Green project is turning 5.3 acres of neglected land into a network of vibrant, climate-resilient green spaces. From transforming road junctions into rain gardens to restoring historic gardens, the initiative is creating places for wildlife to thrive and communities to connect with nature.
With a new pavilion for horticultural training, local apprenticeships, and hands-on community involvement, Lambeth Green is growing skills as well as plants. It’s a bold example of how underused urban spaces can be reimagined for a greener, healthier future.
