London South Bank University – Helping communities cut energy costs through free advice
London South Bank University (LSBU) is using its expertise to help local communities manage energy costs and improve home efficiency. Through its Energy Advice Centre, LSBU provides free, practical guidance to residents in Southwark and beyond, supporting those struggling with high energy bills and inefficient homes.
Set up in 2023 with funding from the University Partnerships Programme (UPP) Foundation and now backed by Southwark Council, the Centre is staffed by LSBU’s School of Engineering and Design. Students and experts offer in-person drop-in sessions and online support, ensuring that tailored, accessible energy advice reaches those who need it most.
